So, here we are! The final day of Skincare Week! I’m so happy to have been able to actually see this idea through, unlike so many of my other ideas. Let’s close this week with some of these adorable little capsule masks from Innisfree!
THE PRODUCT: The capsule packs from Innisfree are basically face masks and packs that are housed in smaller and more portable tubs. That was a weird sentence. Anyway, these packs come in small tubs and contain different types of face masks/packs that tackle different skin issues.
I got this particular set as a present after spending a certain amount of money at an Innisfree store. This set contains 3 of their bestsellers, apparently. Anyway, I’ve been using these capsule masks for a long time now and I’m glad to see that they’ve been repackaged. The older packaging was a little more problematic – you had to insert the plastic flap back to seal it. The newer packaging is much nicer – they are actual tub-containers.
Like I mentioned before, you’ll be spoilt for choice with these capsule packs. They are extremely affordable and come in several different variants, all ready to tackle whichever skin concern you have.
A few of these capsule packs have bigger versions, I think. But it’s always better to try out the capsule pack first and then decide if you wish to splurge on the full-sized product.
VARIANTS: There are more than 10 variants for you to choose from, depending on what your skin concern is. I’ll talk briefly about the ones in this set.
- Jeju Volcanic Clay – This is a wash-off pack, meant to clean out your pores. It cleans the skin thoroughly and doesn’t leave it feeling too dry and parched (unlike the Super Volcanic version, that’s meant for very oily skin). It’s quite effective at removing all the dirt and grime off your face. You take some, spread it across your face, wait for 10 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. You can use it whenever your skin feels and looks dirty or clogged.
- REPURCHASE? Yes!!
- Green Tea – This is a sleeping pack, which means you are to apply it overnight and wash it off the next morning. It has a soft mushy texture and smells very pleasant. It is very hydrating, quite soothing and will leave behind a luminous glow on your face. I find that it calms down breakouts overnight as well. I would recommend using it alone (not after moisturiser) as it is quite rich. By the next morning, my skin looks and feels fresh and renewed. I would also recommend to use it after you refrigerate it. It tends to perform better that way.
- REPURCHASE? Definitely, yes!!
- Bija & Aloe – This was my least favourite one among the three. This just didn’t wow me as much as the other two packs did. I’m still unsure what this does. I didn’t see any significant changes the next morning. It has performed well on other people, drying out their pimples overnight and what not. It’s just that it didn’t do anything for me – other than provide some hydration to my skin.
- REPURCHASE? Most probably not.
PRICE: $1 – $4 (depending on where you purchase it from) for 10 ml of product. It retails for 150 INR each capsule in our country.
