I will forever be a fan of one-and-done eyeshadows and this little guy from Kosas is no exception.

THE BACKSTORY: Like I said, one-and-done eyeshadows always sit well with me and my lazy persona. I bought this Kosas eyeshadow sometime last year and have been using it now and then.

THE PRODUCT: The component is made of plastic. The lavender lid is cute and the applicator is flat.

I like how easy this product is to use. You use the flat applicator to pat some of the product on and then use your finger to blend it out. You do not need any brushes for this. You can, of course, use brushes but fingers work best to diffuse the product.

I also like the gel consistency and how cool it feels, upon application. It’s not like other liquid eyeshadows I’ve tried because I tend to leave them unblended to maintain their opacity. They also tend to look better at full pigmentation. Whereas, with this, I find that the opacity and pigmentation don’t really matter as much because I blend it out for an effortlessly put-together look. If that makes sense. I don’t know if it does.

The base of the eyeshadow is pigmented, sure, but it’s when you blend it out that the glitter pearls get more scattered and it just looks prettier that way, to me. I like that better than just leaving it glopped on.

Like other liquid shadows, it does sometimes feel tight on the lids. But it doesn’t crease as much. It wears well throughout the day. But, in terms of survival in the intense global boiling humidity, it can move around a little bit. I sometimes find the glitter pearls scattered across different parts of my face. But that’s on me. I sweat a lot and use tissues to wipe my face clean. That can make the glitters present spread all over my face. I’ve got no such complaints about all this whenever I use this shadow in a controlled weather environment, i.e. under a nice little air-con or even just colder days.

I like the ease and simplicity of this product. It’s very beginner-friendly but still somehow manages to make you look like you actually tried. On some days, you just need to fake it till you make it and this is a nice little guy that assists you in doing so.
