THE BACKSTORY: For how consistent Milani is, as a brand, they sure are underrated. I understand why they are rarely spoken about in my country. Despite being a drugstore brand across the pond, the price tags for their products slot them in the mid-range category. They’re costly here and it makes complete sense that they’re not even seen as an option here. They’re an afterthought, if you will.
THE PRODUCT: These Lip Oils come housed in a sturdy plastic component with a golden lid. The applicator is chunky and plush and dispenses the product very evenly onto the lips. The size of the applicator reminds me of the one that the Dior Lip Oils have (funny how I’m yet to review those, coming soon).
The moment you whip out the wand of the Lip Oil, you are hit with the heavy fragrance that plague these products. Each of them have their own corresponding scent and some are more gnawing than others. Both the variants I picked up have scents that just split my head into two. Yeah, I’m not a fan.
That being said, the formula of these Lip Oils is fantastic.
These are smoothening and glide on the lips. They deliver instant shine, hydration and a subtle tinge of colour. They are also quite nourishing and will immediately make your lips feel plush. They also sit very comfortably on the lips and aren’t heavy at all.
These are such great Lip Oils and they tick every box in my ever-so-cynical Lip Oil Fanatic heart.
These are, by nature, not very long-wearing and require frequent touch-ups. The hydration does remain even after they wear off, though.
These also work great over other lip products. A little lip-liner, liquid lipstick, whatever your heart desires, these layer just as well over everything. I also like how each of them have a subtle tint of colour and aren’t necessarily packed with pigments. Sometimes, you just want a sheer wash of colour.
Their overpowering scent is the only thing that stops me from giving them full points, to be honest.

♥ OVERALL: I think the formula on these is great so you should definitely nab one when they’re on sale. Do not pay full price for these. Even if they’re good enough to be worth it.
