A decade of Midori Kitty Kitty 💚

It’s been ten years since I published the first post on this blog!!!

Massive congratulations are in order!~

It’s been 10 whole years since I started Midori Kitty Kitty.

I published my first post on the site back in 2nd September, 2014. It was a review of Prada Candy.

I was a teenager who just wanted to talk about lipsticks and blushes.

I was a student then and I would put whatever money I got for lunch, from odd jobs and chores and on my birthday to buy myself the product I fancied. I would make lists and then spend endless hours thinking about which product I’d ultimately give my money to.

I’d then whip out my trusty Canon point-and-shoot camera, find some props, try to shoot flat-lays and product shots to the best of my abilities.

Soon after, I would find myself a community of readers and fellow beauty enthusiasts. Some of whom are my precious friends to this day (hi Luce, Cathy, Christine, Jasmine, Daria, AJ and Erica! 💚)

I absolutely adored talking about glitter and shimmer with the girls. It was and still is so sacred and special to me.

My main goal has always been to help any random person looking up a certain product and deciding if their hard-earned money was worth the splurge. It brings me so much joy knowing that my blog has helped people throughout the years and has helped them in their beauty journey. I remain unbiased in all my posts. If something sucks, it sucks. Call a spade a spade, as they say.
