K-Pop & Makeup: TT by TWICE.

I’ve been doing these kinds of posts for a while now but I’m formally making it a series from this point onward. I love TWICE and their music videos have never let me down so far. TT is no exception.

I find that most of TWICE’s song grow on me. I usually don’t like them right away. That’s where their interesting and fun music videos help me. I observe their fashion and makeup looks in the music video and the song grows on me. Big time.

TT is full of gorgeous makeup looks and I was wowed by the attention to detail on all the member’s makeup looks.

Jungyeon’s look, inspired by ‘Pinocchio’, was boyish and not too heavy-handed on the makeup.

Sana’s look, inspired by Hit-Girl from the ‘Kick-Ass’ series, had some peek-a-boo red eyeliner action.

Mina’s look, reminiscent of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ series, was rather… basic.

Nayeon dressed up as a little devil.

These four makeup looks were the ones I found the most uninspired, especially Jungyeon’s and Mina’s. They both looked stunning, don’t get me wrong. I just found that their looks lacked the, erm, pizazz that the other girls had.

Sana’s look was a lot more fun in comparison – she had some peek-a-boo red eyeliner action going on to match her bold red lip. What’s more, the liner was shaped like a devil’s tail.

Dahyun as the White Rabbit from ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

I thought Dahyun’s look was the cutest. Her eye look was all about the lashes; she even had her lower lash-line defined. The apricot blush and peachy lip brought the whole look together.

Chaeyoung as a pretty little mermaid.

Chaeyoung’s look was full of little surprises. You’d think the look was only about her bright reddish orange lip but if you look closely, the details on her eye makeup would definitely inspire you to experiment! Her eye look had gorgeous silver and gold glitter along with some definition added to it with greenish blue liner.

Momo and her ‘Tinkerbell’ inspired look.

We have my bias next – Momo. Her Tinkerbell-inspired look was adorable. I loved that the glitter on her lower lash-line extended a little further than it should have. The iridescent glitter gave her the teary-eyed effect, which was a nice way to make an otherwise clean look more playful.

Tzuyu’s stunning vampire-inspired look.

I loved Tzuyu’s look so much! Her look was everything a vampire-inspired look should be – bluish grey contacts, smokey reddish brown eyeshadow, fair skin, pale pink blush, little to no contouring and brownish red lipstick.

Perfection.

But it’s still not my favourite look from the music video.

Jihyo’s absolutely stunning ice-princess inspired look was my favourite among them all!

And… here’s my favourite look! The ice-princess inspired look on Jihyo! When you say ice-princess, you’d immediately think of icy colours – white, silver, blue. You’d never think of purple. But a purple halo-smokey eye is exactly what leader Jihyo had on! What’s more, she had a dried-rose lip colour on.

I loved the contrast between her dark makeup and her stunning white dress.

Which was your favourite look?
