Wow, look who’s back after a month-long hiatus. Sorry, folks, have been unwell. Health comes first. But I was getting too down these few days, so I decided to put on a bright red lip to uplift my spirits. Plus, ’tis the season.

Perhaps there was a time in my life when I didn’t mind such dry, matte lipstick formulas… I’ve, definitely, outgrown those by now.
I mean, I would like to lie to you and tell you this is a non-drying matte formula. But that’s just not what this is. Whenever you’re applying anything matte, remember that prepping your skin/lips is key. That could be what makes or breaks the game. A little nourishment in the form of a lip-balm would never hurt your matte lipstick prep. Literally.
It’s a rather dry formula, even in the bullet. It’s a little finicky to apply because of how matte it is. It will skip and tug on your lips. Just be patient with it. Moreover, if you’ve prepped your lips, the whole ordeal would be a lot easier. Again, make sure your lips are nourished before putting it on. It tends to crumble if you use it on flaky lips. It also tends to bunch up.
It’s very pigmented and opaque (in the Lip Swatch, it’s only one layer of the product). You can dab it on if you prefer a sheer wash of colour. It has decent longevity. It’s matte so it naturally will outlast your average lipstick. If you eat, it won’t last. You’ll need to touch up.
I dig the colour-coded packaging. That makes it easier to spot if you have more than one of these and it’s just prettier. The cap has a magnetic closure. I’m usually not too fond of those but this one’s actually done well. Make sure the 3CE logo is above the Stylenanda bit. That secures it in place.
‘#214 Squeezing’ is a fire-engine red. Perfect for the upcoming Holiday season.
∴ It’s a nice bullet lipstick and the colour is stunning. However, it’s an easy shade to dupe. I’m sure you’ll find much more comfortable formulas at lower prices.
