Quickie: Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint in ‘OR205 Apricot Red’.

Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint OR205 Apricot Red

It’s November, you guys. My perpetually dry lips are even worse now; they always seem to be chapped and bleeding. I can no longer wear matte lipsticks so I’ve dug out this Etude House tint. I bought it earlier this year and was absolutely smitten with the colour. And then suddenly, I stopped wearing it. Now that I’ve rediscovered it, I think it’s time for a Quickie.

It seems I forgot to take a solo swatch photo. Here’s one with a couple of other similar-looking shades (that’s another post for another day). Do you like how lazy – and untroubled – I am?

I don’t think the formulation of this lip tint is any different from their regular Dear Darling Water Gel Tints. It’s just that these are packaged like popsicles. How can you resist that level of cuteness? I reviewed one of the older colours, in the original packaging, here.

Anyway, these were meant to be Limited Edition, I believe, and were launched during summertime. But, boy, were these popular!!! Initially, every site I checked didn’t have any of the colours I really wanted in stock. But they became so popular that some sites still keep restocking them!

I bought ‘OR205’ rather reluctantly but I wound up loving the colour and the product. It’s a lovely apricot shade that has a slight brown tinge to it. A very wear-able colour, might I add.

As far as the formula goes, it has a gel-like consistency and is comfortable on the lips. It’s not very opaque but you can build up the colour easily.  It has a glossy finish and it doesn’t really last particularly long (especially if you eat). Thankfully, it’s easy to reapply. It has a similar scent to the original Dear Darling Water Gel tints, a scent that reminds you of grape juice. While it’s strong when you apply the tint to your lips, the scent isn’t too overwhelming and eventually dissipates.

I do think you could pick one up and give it a go. This line was pretty popular. I’ve even seen Japanese bloggers use it. Hell, I even saw Tsubasa Masuwaka post about it. They know what’s good. What was I saying? Yes, you could definitely give these a go. The formula is nice, the colours are pretty, they are affordable and they look like ice-cream.

PRICE AND QUANTITY: $3 – $5, depending on where you purchase it from, for 4.5 grams of product (that is approximately 193 INR to 322 INR).

AVAILABILITY: TesterKorea, iBuyBeauti, RoseRoseShop etc.
