This review was a long time coming. I don’t have much to say about these, which is why I’m slotting them under Quickies.

The stopper doesn’t work properly so product tends to leak.

Swatched once.

Swatches after 2 minutes, the colours have gotten darker. Not much of a difference, though.

I bought these right after they launched and went on to promptly forget about them. They didn’t really leave much of an impression on me at first so they had to rot in my Lip Oil rotation for some time before I eventually remembered.

The packaging is alright. The plastic component is lightweight, the applicator is a usual doe-foot one and the overall vibe of the packaging is quite fun and youthful. I will say that their stoppers don’t work properly because whenever I laid them flat for photos, product would almost always spill. I have had similar issues with my Haus Labs Lip Oil so I won’t be too mad about it. Just keep them propped up to avoid spillage.

Now, the product is… Well, this is just a Lip Gloss. It isn’t rich nor plush enough to be labelled a Lip Oil. It has the slick and slip of your average lip gloss and, yeah, it works best as one too.

It’s categorised as a “pH adjusting” Lip Oil. Those kinds of products always end up being the same bright pink hue anyway so I don’t even want to comment on that. I urge you (and myself) to stop falling for those kinds of gimmicks. It’s all the same.

The scent on these pack a punch. So if you’re sensitive to smells like I am, these won’t fit your vibe at all.

The formula is hydrating, sure, but it isn’t nourishing like most Lip Oil formulas. They also aren’t very long-wearing. Re-application is easy, though. The glossy finish they deliver is quite pretty.

I’d much rather wish Swiss Beauty marketed them as the decent Lip Glosses these are. But they have to profit from the surge of interest in Lip Oils somehow, right?

I got the shades ‘1 Strawberry’ (a strawberry pink) and ‘3 Peach’ (a light cool pink). They’re both pretty. They’ll also suit a lot of different skin-tones just fine.

∴ I think these are okay as lip glosses and definitely aren’t Lip Oils. Very generic but inoffensive nonetheless.
