Let’s talk about one of the new colours from Peripera’s fabulous Ink The Velvet line, for Spring/Summer 2017.
THE BACKSTORY: The girlfriend and I really enjoy this product. She said she wanted to add a nice warm red to her collection and it’s as if Peripera heard her call when they launched 5 new colours for SS 2017. Since we already knew how amazing the formula is, she didn’t hesitate to go for it. She, of course, loves it.
I have reviewed this product before – I reviewed one of their most popular colours! Check it out!
THE PRODUCT: I just want to copy & paste my previous review ahahahahahah… Okay, no. I’ll just tweak my words.
As expected, it has incredible colour pay-off . One dip is enough to coat your lips. It feels very smooth and plush on the lips. It doesn’t dry down to a true matte which is why it is more comfortable to wear. The velvet-matte finish doesn’t feel drying at all. You could call it a liquid lipstick – just without the extreme dryness that they tend to come with.
It lasts for a really long time. Even after heavy meals, you’ll find that the stain it leaves behind isn’t too shabby.
The packaging is adorable and the doe-foot applicator is decent.
For SS 2017, all the colours that were released have a warm undertone to them. “#15 Girlish Red” is your usual warm orange-ish red. It is easy to wear despite being such a bold colour and would look flattering on almost all skin-tones.
SHADES AVAILABLE: For SS’17, they released five warm-toned shades –
- #11 Spring Orange
- #12 Pure Peach
- #13 Charming Coral
- #14 Beauty Peak Rose
- #15 Girlish Red – A flattering warm-toned red with an orange tinge to it.
QUANTITY AND PRICE: $6 – $14, depending on where you purchase it from, for 8 grams of product.
AVAILABILITY: testerkorea, cosmetic-love, ibuybeauti, roseroseshop etc.
♥ Overall, I think you should definitely check these out! They’re bestsellers for a reason. I also feel like the girlfriend and I will pick up more shades in the near future. I have my eyes on “#10 Oops Fuchsia”. That colour is so me that it’s almost ridiculous.
