This is the final post on my little Peripera X Powerpuff Girls haul. If you’re a fan of water tints, you’ve probably heard of these tints.
THE BACKSTORY: I like water tints. I like the Powerpuff Girls. It’s a no-brainer, right? I was running low on my other Peripera water tint anyway. So, this is almost like a repurchase – with cuter packaging.
I have previously reviewed other two colours from the line here.
THE PRODUCT: I find that people either love or hate using water tints. My girlfriend doesn’t enjoy them in the least while I tend to reach for them on a regular basis. How about I represent the good while the girlfriend represents the bad in the world of water tints? Let’s do this.
This particular line of water tints from Peripera is vivid and rich in terms of colour. After they dry, the initial vibrancy is lost and you’re left with a more sombre tint to the lips. The colour lasts well – for at least 3 to 4 hours, provided you don’t eat. It does fade after meals but it leaves a pretty stain behind. What’s more, I find that it is easy to touch up. Sure, it is a little streaky but as long as you have a steady hand, you should be fine.
My favourite thing about water tints and why I love them so much is – they feel weightless. After they dry down, you don’t feel any weight or texture on your lips. What’s more, these water tints aren’t drying either.
Now onto my girlfriend’s side of the argument. She doesn’t enjoy waiting for them to dry – she thinks they take ages to dry. She also says that accidentally consuming the tint is an incident that has occurred quite a few times. If you accidentally consume them, you will find that the tint will stain your teeth and tongue. Eeeep. Also, they smell great but taste awful.
Anyway, the packaging is adorable and the short doe-foot applicator does its job.
It’s easy to decide whether or not you want to invest your money into this tint. If not, just go for the velvet tint from Peripera. Or any other lip product. Peripera makes great lip products. You’re sure to find something that will suit your preference.
SHADES AVAILABLE: There are 2 shades to choose from in the Peripera X Powerpuff Girls collab. Both are colours that have simply been repackaged.
- Cherry Juice – A reddish pink.
- Strawberry Juice – A vivid strawberry red.
SWATCH: This is how vibrant it appears when you first apply it. You can see how much the colour fades away after it dries down on the top of the swatch, where it has nearly dried fully.
QUANTITY AND PRICE: $5 – $9, depending on where you purchase it from, for 8 ml of product.
AVAILABILITY: testerkorea ($6), ibuybeauti ($7), koreadepart ($8) etc
REGULAR PACKAGING: RoseRoseShop, cosmetic-love, testerkorea, jolse etc
♥ Overall, water tints can be a product that you’ll either love or hate. I would recommend you try one out and decide for yourself hahaha.

Pros
- The packaging is adorable.
- It feels weightless once it dries.
- It is hydrating.
- The colour dries down to a sober hue and looks pretty.
Cons
- The initial vibrancy of the shade doesn't last too long. It doesn't last too long in general.
- If you accidentally were to taste some of the product, you'll know how bitter and inedible it tastes.
