I’m kicking myself for not getting the full-sized version of this because of how much I ended up loving it. It may as well be a contender for my favourite lip product of the year.
THE BACKSTORY: I’ve made my absolute love and adoration for Lady Gaga no secret over the years. However, when she finally released her long-awaited makeup line, I wasn’t particularly moved to purchase any of the products. It was only after the rebranding that I seriously checked out her line and ultimately wound up with one of my favourite purchases of the year.
THE PRODUCT: The product is packaged like a standard lip oil, if you ask me. If you’re even the tiniest bit familiar with the beauty world, one glance at the component and you’d be able to tell that it was a lip oil. It reminds me of the old Clarins lip oil packaging. Even Dior’s lip oil come in a similar rectangular component with a silver component.
I like the applicator. It’s plush and it hugs the curves of your lips as you apply the product.
The formula, again, reminds me a lot of my beloved Clarins Lip Oils (which, funnily enough, I never actually reviewed here). You may feel like a lip oil over your lips would be greasy or unctuous but that is definitely not the case. I find this lip oil to be quite smooth and luxurious. Even on the driest and mustiest of lips, it smooths them out and makes them look ten times better. I love the glossy and non-sticky finish.
It is quite hydrating and is rather long-lasting, especially for what it is. It wears off after a heavy meal, of course, but it fares quite well even if you snack or have some drinks. Also, it leaves a natural-looking stain behind. The colour adjusts to the pH of your skin but I feel like most of these colour-changing products tend to be one-dimensional any which way. I must also mention that the colour develops gradually and grows more intense after it sits for some time on the lips.
I’m actually kicking myself for not getting the full-sized version, especially because products like these are usually right up my alley. It’s glossy, hydrating, leaves a healthy colour on the lips and comfortable. I’ll try and get my hands on a couple of more colours soon.

♥ OVERALL: I think it’s worth getting/trying, especially since it is available in a mini size for you to test out. I like the formula and I think the tinted ones will suit a lot of different skin-tones.
